Andretti Worldwide's IndyCar expert Colton Herta concedes that time is against him finding a ride in Recipe 1 except if Michael Andretti's arrangements to enter the game come to pass in 2025.
The FIA gave Andretti's new undertaking the authority go on in October, dependent upon the group concurring business terms with the F1 association and its President Stefano Domenicali, which is as yet forthcoming.

"You know, I believe it's very time delicate," he said. "I'm most likely at the most noteworthy age that I could presumably go around there with a group perhaps next to Andretti.
"No doubt, so I have nothing to provide details regarding their side of things. I think their objective is still to get an Equation 1 group, they're actually attempting to.
"Assuming that occurs, we'll need to see what timetable that is and the way in which old I'll be and where I'm at in my life by then.
"As far as I might be concerned, simply the primary concentrate right presently is IndyCar, and we'll see where it goes."
Herta experienced a poor 2023 season, completing tenth in focuses regardless of two shaft positions. His main platform came at Toronto, while Andretti novice Kyle Kirkwood, 25, scored two triumphs - including the valued Long Ocean side Great Prix.
"I think it was a time of sort of what might have turned out badly did," made sense of Herta. "Definitely, it was only sort of out of control.
"It was without a doubt most likely my most terrible season in IndyCar, with just two shafts and one platform, no success. It was the initial time in my vocation that I haven't had a success in a year.
"The objective is to clearly get that back, and sort of proceeding, dealing with the rhythm through races and simply having a more steady end of the week.
"There were a few things that were most certainly beyond our control, and there were a ton of things that were in our control. Thus, sort of glancing back at a portion of those races where we had botches, ensuring that we note those down and stuff like that doesn't reoccur without a doubt."
